    IPG Mediabrands has appointed Thomas Jamet as chief executive for France, a key market for the global media network.

    According to a company statement, IPG Mediabrands France has been looking to appoint someone who can “provide a vision to ensure the development of current operations”.

    Jamet was noted “for his leadership qualities, expertise in client management, strategy and developing new activities”.

    Formerly director of strategy at ZenithOptimedia – as well as being the founder and chairman of the content marketing entity Moxie since 2012 – Jamet will be responsible for revitalising Mediabrands’ operations in France and reinforce the group’s focus on innovation.

    Jim Hytner, chief executive at IPG Mediabrands G14 said: “[Jamet] will bring a new perspective to agency operations at Initiative and UM, as well as our digital agencies, and I am confident he will succeed in his mission to ensure an optimum level of service and innovation for our clients.”

    Jamet added: “Our media agencies need to have greater influence on their clients’ performance indicators through a clever combination of strategy and content creation.”

    IPG Mediabrands annonce aujourd’hui l’arrivée de Thomas Jamet, 38 ans, en tant que CEO pour la France.

    Précédemment Directeur Général du groupe ZenithOptimedia en charge de la stratégie et également fondateur et CEO de l’entité de content marketing Moxie, Thomas Jamet a pour ambition de redynamiser les activités françaises d’IPG Mediabrands et d’accélérer la tradition d’innovation du groupe.
